Hello again my lovelies! I know it’s been such a long time but it’s been an unusual few months.
I shan’t bore you with all the unpleasantness but the love and support of my dear friends and family along with sheer grit and determination, well… Let’s just say things are looking up!
So I jumped at the opportunity to shoot with the wonderful Cat from Kitty Jones photography again. I thought I’d do a little summer round up of my favourite pieces along with a little tribute later in the series.
We headed to the picturesque Bryngarw Park, to make use of the beautiful gardens and to start the series with this gorgeous Caterina Dress from Collectif.
I had always scrolled by the Caterina dresses on the Collectif website as buttons and I don’t tend to get along. But the range of options this dress comes in season after season is getting more varied and harder to pass by.
I was lucky enough to come across this dress at Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair in Cardiff last spring. My husband actually spotted it, he insisted I try it on and I have to say I wasn’t sure. But my mind was soon swayed by this beauty.
The Caterina really did fit beautifully, which is true to form for most Collectif items. I can’t speak for anyone else, but their cuts are very empathetic to my body shape and proportions.
There is a slight tugging at the buttons but the Cotton & Spandex mix (97:3%) handled the girls like a champ!
Another thing that Collectif does really well is swishy skirts… You really do get a lot of fabric in the skirts. Perfect for swirling, twirling but not so much for ironing! Hahaha!
The dress was £68 originally but I snapped it up for around £25. Although it is currently selling for just £17! Go check it out!
Much love & vintage wishes,
